Hello,
The jewels(as can be Draug Brenin's Snake Shape Ring) that give extra range to the attacks, does it also add the extra distance to the skills range?
Thanks in advance.

Re: About jewels that give extra attack rangeThose add range +1m range attack. However there were welkeys and robinson rings with melee/magic attack range bonuses.

Re: About jewels that give extra attack rangeI only know about brenin's ones(about welkey and robinson: which ones give extra range? the only ones that I've found at flo-base are about extra hit and extra resistance), but what I want to know is(for example): if a merc uses Smash Quake(that has a small radius) with "Draug Brenin's Snake Shape Necklace" equiped(that adds +0,25m ), will be the radius of the aoe increased? In other words: the extra range from the jewel is added tot the skill range or only to normal attacks range?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: About jewels that give extra attack rangeIt definitely increases normal melee attack range, but it is hard to tell if it increases aoe range. Most aoe's have range, which is showed, but not a singe one of Mercenary class aoe attack's have that. Having this in mind you can't be sure that range actually increases for aoes. Also +0.25m is hardly noticeable, so it makes even harder to prove Smash Quacke getting increased range. However you can try acquiring it and test how it works, but personally for me Hati's and Mars Necklases are more useful unless you get 73/1 necklase with mp/hp recovery and defence bonuses.

Re: About jewels that give extra attack rangeYes, maybe +0,25m doesn't make a big diference, but some times melee monsters stay quiet at a safe distance while keep damaging and stuning so a little more range doesn't hurt. Also if in the example case isn't usefull...what about a sniper with +3m pasive and 2x1m rings...can it use sniping(flo-base: attackrange 23m) from the extremely safe distance of 28m?
EDIT: testing a lvl 6 explo without any level of Eagle eye and later with Eagle eye at second level I didn't find out any diference at the attackrange of Quick Shot or Aimed Shot. Maybe I'm a bit blind or something... or an extra 3m isn't easily noticeable at 1vs1 due to the movement of the character and the monster. And at the same time its hard to mark where is the monster and the character with or without movement, so I'm not able to say if the distance were 3m more or 3m less. Thanks anyway! Maybe I'll simply try to get the 0,25m(with good seals) and trust that it works:| PS:(edit) Asking about this matter to an scout o whatever are they called ([Kar]), he told me that the extra range also increase the skill range/radius. So ¡IT WORKS! |

Re: About jewels that give extra attack range
I kinda agree this time with Tom. Scouts can't clarify such thing and he/she shouldn't. Only Quality Assurance aka Game Tester could say that as only they can check such things. Mere scouts are only for support in game, but not stating ''facts'', which he/she can't actually prove. |

Important thing I also learned over the years |

Re: About jewels that give extra attack range
Turbokid: maybe, but initially he didn't know the answer and then he told me that he has asked to somebody that has said that it works. Obviously I don't know if the third person who answered "yes" has tested anything or has the right information. Anyway finally I'm not going to waste my time(now) in farming brenin to solve this question. Thanks! |
