If you think about it, Light Slashes push the enemy away. Such thing helps you to be "safer" if the enemy isn't fully ready.
And, if you hit the enemy with a Light while he's jumping, you will mess him up a lot because he will do the landing animation. That gives you enough time to connect even an Heavy
And, sometimes while dealing the second Light you may sometimes get hit at the same time with a weak attack (like another Light or a PS Dash etc... the quick ones) from the enemy so it will cancel the recovery time/delay for both of you, but you've still damaged him more.
And, sometimes you may go through the enemy or viceversa so you will mess up his aiming
AND, if you think about it, if the First Light Slash is successful, the second Light is always GRANTED if the enemy is close enough to you. If one of them (or worse, both) crit, that's a shitton amount of damage.
And, if the enemy isn't close enough for your second Light to connect, you can go away like at 1:12

But isn't the CS revenge fast enough to block the second light? It was in your combo breaking video (and I asked you wtf happened) but that video always made me wonder how fast Revenge is. It also seems to be almost instantaneous like the CS light (I actually think it might even be quicker).

Unsafe on block? There's no block in S4 man (except for Revenge, which is still different compared to a normal block)

I meant revenge when I mentioned 'block'. It's pretty much the only 'blocking' function in SO if you treat fighting with swords as a fighting game. You got what I mean so it's fine.

It technically can block the second Light, but only if there's almost no lag between players (I can do it only with other Italian players at around 20ms, 50% times). The one you saw Revenged in my tut video was the "critical hit that causes no flinch"... but it doesn't hit very often and you can always miss it on purpose since it's kind of delayed
Plus, let's say you get stunned. If you have at least 90SP you can even dodge away.

I've kind of tested it in Arcade, and yeah Revenge seems to be INSTANT. To see if it actually functions from the very first frame I should test it with Fraps+Vegas like I did here http://tiny.cc/s4framedata but I'm too lazy unfortunately, lol.

lmao, more evasion? Sorry but no thanks. Spamming dodges won't work against me or any other decent sword player, unlike you may think. That's a waste of SP. You can evade bullets to an extent but not swords since they're easier to aim or land. Swords are more about correct positioning, not aim.

No effects is actually a good thing. Video montages with effects are retarded.
