Re: Fps drops again.i usually run s4 at 40 fps. if player count skips 10, i sometimes go down to 20-ish or i simply freeze. but yeah, happened from awhile ago for me. i used to run s4 fine on 60 fps when i started.

Re: Fps drops again.
Does the fp spikes to lower for a second or they just stay low for a longer period of time? If they spikes then, try to keep attention if that happens when someone joins/leaves the room. If that is the case, I have already reported that one. Also giving some pc specs could be useful. It might be a problem with a certain component. |

Re: Fps drops again.
It goes down, and stays there for like 5~7 seconds then goes back to 50+ for 1~3 seconds then goes down again. PC specs: Spoiler: show |

Re: Fps drops again.Fps-wise it's fine for me, but I tend to get quite a lot of spiking. There seem to be a few specific situations where it has a chance of occurring such as,
1. When the match is started; happens at startup_time+some (random) short period after 2. 'Entry lag', someone enters/leaves the room 3. 'Death lag', self-explanatory 4. When I'm fighting someone and have like 30-60 hp left. The most annoying variety Also, some rooms give me short but constant spikes each 5-10 seconds, my guess is it probably has to do with the activity/connection quality of other players in the room or something like that, since it's rather rare to occur even with the same mode/map/number of players. |

Re: Fps drops again.
Ok, I m going to report it but I can't tell when they will be able to fix that. |

Re: Fps drops again. My FPs drop when the rooms starts and sometimes when a user enters the room somehow. Other then that i don't have any problems.

Re: Fps drops again.
Bcos Pentavision. ... ...no, really. Remember when they updated for Siege mode? I was still using a Pentium 4 processor ...must...contain...hatred..., and my framerates dramatically dropped after that patch. I went from a more or less steady range of 56-60fps in most maps to 45-55fps. In certain spots in Neden-1, yes Neden of all places, I could drag it down to 40-45 by looking at certain places. And for what? There was no visual changes, no gameplay changes outside of Siege, nothing. It was because Pentavision was, and apparently still is, an incompetent developer. Building a modern machine (equipped with an AMD 960t) brought my framerates to a steady 59.9/60. Us (I can't believe I'm lumping myself with these guys...*shudder*) "get better PC commentators" show up because getting a new PC, or at least upgrading some, helps with s4; particularly a new CPU, since chewing through all the garbage that Pentavision can't be bothered to clean out of their engine, plus processing the little bit of data at the end that is useful game data, takes a lot of juice. So that remains my advice: if you want a smooth s4 experience, get a better CPU. Make sure its individual cores are fast, as s4 is (and probably always will be because, you guessed it, Pentavision) a single-threaded game and can't benefit from having more, but individually slower, cores. If you already have a powerful CPU, um...dunno~! ^_^' |

Re: Fps drops again.Quick theory here: bad programming and patching.
it's like the gauss rifle but they've managed to slip it into everything |
