Many (if not most) players enjoy following a storyline via quests, especially the older, more mature players. PvP is not (and should not be) the begin-all and end-all of MMO gaming. PvP should be something players can indulge in while they are questing, not something they are FORCED to do. The game Allods forced players into early PvP situations after promising them PvP was optional: it was an unpopular decision by the devs and the game lost players, as will this one if it follows that route...

hi,

don't agree with that
sry, but ppl need to know and understand where and what they choose before coming in an mmo
if ppl want a questing mmo don't choose RvR game. the end game of an RvR mmo is the pvp and u can't change this.

Now to come back on the subject, i have some questions about adv system
- as some asked before what is the advandtage of the stuff in adv shop ?
- heard we get 2Kap as reward after geting 5 reputation map to rank10, is it ture?
- it could be good if we can earn ap destroying the miner outpost in field war.

For the healer who asked how to earn ap as healer, FARM region quest u will earn a lot of ap.

You failed to understand my post. Read it again, properly this time. I was not referring to endgame PvP at all. I was referring to pre-endgame gameplay, where questing and storyline is tossed aside in favour of forcing players to do PvP. As regards to your comment that end-game is PvP and can't be changed, I disagree. It can be changed, the devs just dont want to or have no better idea as to what the endgame content should be like. The devs control the functioning of the game world and as such can create any rules or conditions they see fit.
The problem with most MMOs is that endgame is exactly that. End of the game, end of questing, end of storyline.
The end.
And so to give players something to do they put them on the PvP treadmill.
Boring and unimaginative.
Its time for something new...
