For Mercenary class

They turn their battle-scarred swords towards the enemies to protect their allies! They don't hesitate to stand their grounds while fighting for their beloved.

I was thinking about a Dex Dagger Mercenary build maybe some points in str or (and) bal, not sure if it would be any good though

hey, im playing a merc in the closed beta^^ a tank 1h-sword build. i put every lvl 2 points on vit and 1 point on strength. but im not sure about dex :/ i just have 20 dex ... and i dont know, if i should put more points in it or not. the merc has a lower hit than the other classes anyway and i dont know, if its important to hit with my standart attack or if a merc just uses skills. has anybody tested it and could give me some advice?

you'd have next to no atk skills.

i wouldnt recommend in such an early stage of the game any exotic builds. i would make a build, which will definitely work and after you know how the game works and how it works when your character is at high-lvl, i would think about any alternative builds.

Thought I'd ask here instead of creating a new topic:

Were 2-handed mercenaries a common sight in CB1?

Because when a single class has split skill trees for offensive and defensive purposes (ie Tank and Damage Dealer), the damage dealers usually won't find a party.

Generally the arguments are because they can't tank as well as mercenaries that specialise in it (sword and shield), and they deal less damage than the magic classes (and usually any other class that are considered squishies except support roles).

I was thinking about creating a 2-handed mercenary, but I don't quite like the thought of certain party leaders going:

**Invite**
>>>> Yay we got a mercenary
<< Hi, thanks for invite.
>>>> Do you use shield?
<< No
**Kick**

Well, i guess it's that way, yea. And yes, there are seperate skil trees, but you could of just looked for that with the keyword skill. But yo ucan also look for the user 3py0n. He made a thread of all the skills and classes. But he took it from florensia jp. I can know that, since i've played the 1st CB. Those skill trees looked very differently from what i've seen in the game.

I'm not 100% sure (I never played a Noble, can't stand the way they look) but I think a 2h Merc with the right weapon and stats can out damage Nobles generally. 2h Mercs can send out a constant stream of high damage attacks whereas Nobles (I think, taking experience from other games here) are more spike damage.

Anyway, a 2h Merc will still have the 2nd most health ingame (tank Merc is the 1st) so I wouldn't call them squishy at all ;).

Nobles are the standard mage on this game... Mage is always the damage dealer...
This game should be no different...

Nukers, anyone?

i really think, that you wont find a party as 2h-merc after the partybonus is fixed. if you want to party, dont play a 2h-merc...
