Hello people-with-installer-problems,

With Evo there comes a new thread which should help solving most of the patcher problems.

There are 2 different downloaders when installing LOCO, when you know which one causes the problem just hop to the right section, otherwise continue reading.

Akamai

When installing from official downloader you first download and install the installer via Akamai downloader.
Akamai looks like this:

Sometimes it is stuck during initialization or downloading. When this happens, first try to rerun Akamai (you should always do that, some problems occur only once ;) ). If it doesn't help: Uninstall "Akamai NetSession Interface" (you may have it once or twice installed, just uninstall everything with that name.

If you are not sure what I'm talking about I hope this pic helps:

After you uninstalled Akamai, just reboot and run the installer again.

LOCO patcher

Akamai is done, LOCO should install now (what shouldn't cause any problem, at least none that happens often). Now comes the LOCO patcher. Currently the patcher looks like this:

Problems here are... well let's say they happen "sometimes".

"Game Patch failed" & Windows XP users

Good old Windows XP users, always asking why the game patch failed but never mentioning you are using Windows XP.
When using Windows XP, update your Internet Explorer to version 8.

Users updating from an old LOCO installer or a version before LOCO Evo
Other errors while patching

The most recent version for the installer right now (5.12.2011) 111125_LocoSetup.exe (year year month month day day). If your installation is older or your installation happened before that and you got problems patching it.. just download it again. Really, the versions before normally got patch sizes that are the same size as the installer (at least when you don't have a version of Evo on your PC right now) and Akamai normally is faster than the patcher anyways.


Still having problems with the installer


Problems logging in

Some users have problems logging in. The most common problems right now are "Login failed" and "I click Login but nothing happens".

"I click login but nothing happens":
That's a problem with the LOCO servers right now and not with your computer (or a problem with the connection between you, don't know the exact reason). As the name says, nothing happens after entering your username and password and clicking login, you can even insert a password that's wrong and you won't get a "Login failed" error. What to do? Restart LOCO, during more active times (weekends or evening in germany) it may take several times (I think my max is 8) until it works. Not good but at least it works after a while, hopefully they fix it soon.

Login failed
When the login fails it may have several reasons.
Wrong information entered? Everyone should know how to fix that (capslock maybe?), and to make sure it's a LOCO problem and not with what you enter try logging in to our website/forum.

Website-login works, but LOCO-login not
If you created your account recently, just wait a while. Sometimes it may take some hours until your account is synchronized with the LOCO servers.
If you didnt create your account recently, try changing your password on the loco website. Make sure you don't use special characters in it and click the verification link in the email you receive.
Still not working? As long as you arent russian send me a ticket (dont forget to mention you already changed your password).


If you have read through this and nothing applies, just send a ticket to LOCO EN and attach your dxdiag logfile (if you don't know how to do it ask google for it, it's not complicated and there are many guides how to do it so I won't explain here) and a screenshot showing the error. Also mention you have read this thread or I may tell you to read it ;)

is this thread help this launcher error? i mean the this error.. i download any of the downloader in forum and now in the website. and yet still the same.

so many ppl seems to have this problem, including myself -.- and there are so many post about it on forums.. some manage to fix it, others quit :x

too sad... not a friendly user game. :D hahaha when i finish do all posibilities.. install IE8.. when i try to lunch it another error.. the game is in maintenance... = "RAGE QUIT" move on to new game.. hahahahaha wait 2012 for Continent of the ninth in 1st Quarter of jan 2012. thanks all.

i'm done on game outdated part. and now is for the patch.
any solution?? im trying to patch the launcher over and over for 4 times.. and yet when its already on 5%-15% it says "DOWNLOAD FAILED" why is it sudden like that?

the new patch size is? is there any manual patch that i can download??

does anyone here can upload? or send me a link for the patch so i can manually download? it its my 3 days of download/install /error.. :((

This is all the steps i have tried to fix the "game outdated, please download new client"

update IE to ver.9/ run launcher MANY times (like15+)/ Clean everything frm IE/ add exception at Firewall/ off firewall/ use GameBooster/ Run as admin (Also, try to redownload and install the game from alaplaya web. I havent been able to do this yet cuz downloading takes awhile on my end, it frustrates me to rage quit again -.-)

All of u that have this probIem can try those I mention above. It might work for u, but It didnt for me. BTW Im running on Vista.

Note : All this method I tried is found by reading through forums, yet none of it solve my problem... If i missed out some, please tell me the method i havent tried.

PS : there is one random time when update works, until 3sec and then failed -.-

Hello. I am trying to install LOCO today. My Akamai installer always stops loading during the initializing phase. The blue bar just stops progressing around the 3/4 mark. The installer is still running but I had already waited for 1 hr and it is still stuck at the same place!! What should i do?

almost 1hr of patching and download patch failed?? fvck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can we download the patch is there any chance?? manually.. or mediafire so we can download it not via launcher.. cause loco launcher has many error...

by the way.. i have IE8.. i download locosetup1111125.exe from the site.
