Hello people-with-installer-problems,
With Evo there comes a new thread which should help solving most of the patcher problems.
There are 2 different downloaders when installing LOCO, when you know which one causes the problem just hop to the right section, otherwise continue reading.
AkamaiWhen installing from
official downloader you first download and install the installer via Akamai downloader.
Akamai looks like this:

Sometimes it is stuck during initialization or downloading. When this happens, first try to rerun Akamai (you should always do that, some problems occur only once

). If it doesn't help: Uninstall "Akamai NetSession Interface" (you may have it once or twice installed, just uninstall everything with that name.

After you uninstalled Akamai, just reboot and run the installer again.
LOCO patcherAkamai is done, LOCO should install now (what shouldn't cause any problem, at least none that happens often). Now comes the LOCO patcher. Currently the patcher looks like this:
Problems here are... well let's say they happen "sometimes".
"Game Patch failed" & Windows XP usersGood old Windows XP users, always asking why the game patch failed but never mentioning you are using Windows XP.

Other errors while patchingThe most recent version for the installer right now (5.12.2011) 111125_LocoSetup.exe (year year month month day day). If your installation is older or your installation happened before that and you got problems patching it.. just
download it again. Really, the versions before normally got patch sizes that are the same size as the installer (at least when you don't have a version of Evo on your PC right now) and Akamai normally is faster than the patcher anyways.
Still having problems with the installerProblems logging inSome users have problems logging in. The most common problems right now are "Login failed" and "I click Login but nothing happens".

That's a problem with the LOCO servers right now and not with your computer (or a problem with the connection between you, don't know the exact reason). As the name says, nothing happens after entering your username and password and clicking login, you can even insert a password that's wrong and you won't get a "Login failed" error. What to do? Restart LOCO, during more active times (weekends or evening in germany) it may take several times (I think my max is 8) until it works. Not good but at least it works after a while, hopefully they fix it soon.
Login failedWhen the login fails it may have several reasons.
Wrong information entered? Everyone should know how to fix that (capslock maybe?), and to make sure it's a LOCO problem and not with what you enter try logging in to our website/forum.
Website-login works, but LOCO-login notIf you created your account recently, just wait a while. Sometimes it may take some hours until your account is synchronized with the LOCO servers.
If you didnt create your account recently, try changing your password on the loco website. Make sure you don't use special characters in it and click the verification link in the email you receive.
Still not working? As
long as you arent russian send me a ticket (dont forget to mention you already changed your password).
If you have read through this and nothing applies, just
send a ticket to LOCO EN and attach your dxdiag logfile (if you don't know how to do it ask google for it, it's not complicated and there are many guides how to do it so I won't explain here) and a screenshot showing the error. Also mention you have read this thread or I may tell you to read it
