Can't create a character

So i'm new to S4 League and i'm trying to make my character, but after I type in the nickname I want and press create, it gets stuck on "Connecting"... it's been stuck on it for about 40 minutes now ._. Any ideas how I can fix this?

The name is probably taken. Either that, or there's high server traffic. I'm pretty sure there's a problem with the system right now.

Hmm.. any idea if inactive characters were deleted? I managed to get into my acc from Season2, and it still wanted me to create a character even though I already had 3... o.o

Hi,

Inactive account normally doesn't get wiped out. It happens maybe to one of thousand inactive accounts mainly due to security reasons. If you think that account wasn't a mere combi account, which never got used, but had higher level character i would suggest submitting a ticket to S4 League - General department via support suite and ask for clarification about it.

Also ''connecting...'' error as Contingency mentioned is related to name being taken. Sadly there is error in our system at the moment and it doesn't show which names are already taken. However i have solution\suggestion how to check it.

If character exist you will be redirected to page containing general information about it. It is efficient way to check if nick is taken. I hope this help a bit to pick right nickname.

Okay so I used that to check, and not only does it show that my character from my old account still exists, but it also shows the name I chose for this account does exist, and it shows the playing time as the exact amount of time that I stayed on the connecting screen, so I assume that the character did end up being created when I pressed the create button. Any ideas why I would be stuck on the screen for both that AND my other account which already has the 3 characters on it?

If old account character nickname still exist it means you have picked wrong account. Check all of your accounts and you should be able to find one you had during season 2. Regarding new account character name - it is already taken and you can't use it. Character in game time means time spend playing in matches. Being on connecting screen or afk in lobby whole day doesn't add even a few seconds to that, so it is not possible that you have created it and somehow character already has playing time.

This is the only account other than my Nyansaurus one that I have, I know that for sure. I made it because I lost the email I used for this account and had trouble remembering my info. Theres no way that it could possibly be the wrong account, the character Jaydeline should be linked to this one. But it still doesn't bring up my characters when I log in.

As turbo posted above, check on S4db to see if the name is taken. Just search for a name and if there's a profile for it, it's taken.
