Heya!

Before you enter a nickname, please go to http://s4db.net/#player and do a search for the nickname to see if it's already taken. Nick names already taken will cause you to freeze (new bug that came with the patch) when you try to take them.

If the problem persists with several nicknames displayed as not being previously taken, please submit a ticket at https://support.prosiebensat1games.com/ Optionally, you can try to make a new account and try to register a nickname displayed as not existing on S4DB.

Select a flag from the patch before pressing the start and the missing text will shows up.

About the connecting problem, you have to choose a name that is not already taken otherwise you will stuck in connecting.
As AmberSky said, you can check if the player name already exists from here: http://s4db.net/#player and use another one if it is already taken.

Redownload part 3 then. Most probably the archive got damage while downloading it.
Be sure the file size that you have downloaded matches the size listed on the download page (i. e. if the whole file is downloaded successfully)

You can't.
The game can be run only from the patcher_s4.exe. It is the file that is launching s4client.exe.

If you are using the version from the official site, the shortcut on the desktop actually leads to patcher_s4.exe and not s4client.exe even when it says s4client on it.
